Daily Challenge Strategy Guide

The daily challenge is a special puzzle that's the same for every player each day. Because everyone faces the same board, you can compare your moves and time against the community. Here's how to approach it for your best result.

The Warm-Up

Don't jump straight into the daily puzzle. Spend 2–3 minutes on warm-up levels (replay a few from your completed Warm Up stage). This activates the pattern-recognition circuits in your brain and gets you into a flow state. Just like an athlete stretches before a game, a puzzle solver should warm up before the daily challenge.

First Pass: Scan Without Touching

When you open the daily board, spend at least 30 seconds just looking. Don't move anything. Identify: (1) all edge-facing arrows, (2) the longest visible dependency chain, (3) any branching structures. This passive scan builds a mental map before you commit to any action.

Set a Move Budget

The optimal solution for a daily puzzle might be, say, 15 moves. Aim to complete it within 20 moves. If you exceed this budget, you're either making mistakes or the board is harder than expected. Either way, having a budget keeps you disciplined about each move.

When to Use Hints

For the daily challenge, hints affect your mental score even if they don't show on the leaderboard. Try to solve without any hints. If you're stuck after 3 minutes, use exactly one Level 1 hint (highlight a movable arrow). If still stuck after 2 more minutes, use one Level 2 hint. Save Level 3 (solution) for absolute emergencies — it robs you of the satisfaction of solving.

Track Your Progress

Keep a mental note of your daily move count. Are you improving week over week? If you're consistently hitting the optimal move count for your stage, you're ready to advance. If your counts are creeping up, revisit the strategies section for a refresher.
